Asia Program Development Fund
This fund offers much-needed support for our outreach events and programs, and for activities that are not funded by the state or institution. For example, it allows us to host guest speakers for our Asia 301 symposium and our fall lecture series, to cosponsor events like the Bollywood film festival, and to serve food to all participants and guests at our Research Paper Symposium in Asian Studies during Mom’s Weekend.
Asia Program Excellence Awards Fund
An Asia Program faculty member created this fund in 2004 to promote excellence in Asian studies. Each April, we celebrate achievements in Asian studies through the Asia Program Award for Excellence, the Best Paper Award in Asian Studies, and Research Scholarships for Asian Studies majors or minors engaged in original research projects.
Asia Program Study Abroad Scholarship Fund
An Asia Program faculty member created this fund to offer financial support for students studying abroad in Asia. We were able to support four students in the 2016-2017 academic year. The rising costs of study abroad programs make this and other scholarship funds essential to giving students the opportunity to experience Asia firsthand.
